All Aboard for another op session on the C&M railroad.
We only had a crew of four and there was a start time mal-communication issue so our session was a bit shorter than usual and we also operated a bit differently this session: we went with no dedicated Grand Rapids Yardmaster.
The yard had a couple of trains set up and ready to go, so the session started well. Then, when the crews returned to the yard, they classified the cars that the brought back to the yard, returned their power to the engine facility and then built their next train.
The C&M Railroad marketing department has been busy and signed up three new customers in the City of Kalamazoo. So John had the honor of running the very first Kalamazoo Turn.
I think it went quite well and the operators seem to enjoy the new diversity of their jobs. It was nice to change up the operations for a change and with only 4 operators, this may be the way to go for future sessions. Not many photos but here is what we have.
Andy is shown doing his part-time Yardmaster duties, classifying the cars he brought back to the yard from his Turn.
